The Australian Irish Heritage Association of WA

The Journal is published by the Australian-Irish Heritage Association. Other programs and achievements include:

• The Mary Durack Memorial Lecture commemorating the distinguished writer and our first patron.
• The Brendan Award for meritorious service to Australia's Irish heritage. Previous recipients include Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, Michael Nolan, Honorary Irish Consul for WA, the Dohertys, of Perth's Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann and Joe and Lotte Crozier.
• Joe O'Sullivan Writers Prize -  Entry fees wholly donated to charity.
• Australia Day Ecumenical Service - our tribute to the land which gave refuge to many of our forebears in their hour of need.
• St Patrick's Dinner - One of our flagship events.
• Saint Brigid's Day - when we renew our commitment to honour women, Irish women in particular.
• Sharing of the Green - launching Irish Heritage Week
• Bloomsday - celebrating James Joyce (with the Irish Club)
• W.B.Yeats Annual Dinner - commemorating the great Irish Nobel Laureate.
• Regular lectures and seminars on Ireland's history and culture.
