About 800 pages of records turned over last week to lawyer Roderick MacLeish jun. also show that Father Paul Shanley, who the Church moved to California, sought treatment in several cities for a sexually transmitted disease.
The one-time "street priest" -- recognisable in Boston during the 1970s with his blue jeans and motorcycle -- also boasted in the documents of teaching young people to inject drugs safely.
"These are the writings of a perverted monster who was sent out into the field, unsupervised, to be with children," Mr MacLeish said.
The lawyer is representing the family of Greg Ford, 24, in a civil case against Father Shanley. Mr Ford claims he was abused by Father Shanley for six years, beginning when Mr Ford was aged six and a student in religious education classes taught by the priest.
Church officials in Boston approved Father Shanley's transfer in 1991 to San Bernadino, California. With another priest from Boston, he also owned and operated an inn in Palm Springs, California, popular with gay clients.
Father Shanley, 71, was sacked recently from his volunteer post with the San Diego Police Department and his whereabouts are not known.
The newest material comes 17 days after a court-ordered deadline to furnish all records pertaining to the priest's long relationship with the Boston archdiocese.
A first set of documents, released earlier this month, established that Church officials in Boston knew of sexual abuse allegations against Father Shanley and knew he was at a meeting of an organisation that became the North American Man-Boy Love Association.
These records showed that despite a history of complaints, the Boston archdiocese recommended Father Shanley to St Ann's parish in San Bernardino as a priest in good standing.
The revelations prompted Boston's Cardinal Bernard Law to visit the Vatican two weeks ago to discuss whether to resign, a possibility the Pope discouraged.
The new papers show that when Cardinal Law's predecessor, the late Cardinal Humberto Medeiros, tried to remove Father Shanley from his Boston street ministry, the priest responded with a letter in which he threatened to go to the media alleging homosexuality in the archdiocesan seminary. In a reply, Cardinal Medeiros made light of the threat.
