Ex-college head will face court
THE former head of Wesley College John Bednall was charged yesterday over inappropriate use of a computer.
Mr Bednall, 56, of Mosman Park, was charged with one count of using a computer to obtain objectionable material.
The charge comes under the Censorship Act.
Mr Bednall resigned from Wesley amidst controversy last year when the school council called in police over allegations he was inappropriately using a school computer.
At the time, the council said when they became aware Mr Bednall was allegedly accessing certain internet sites they had no option other than to call police.
Mr Bednall has denied inappropriately accessing internet sites.
He is due in court on February 19.
