Parole for disgraced Test umpire Steve Randell

FORMER Test umpire and convicted child molester, Steve Randell, will be released from jail later this month.

  The Tasmanian Parole Board decided yesterday [April 3 2002] that Randell would be freed on parole before the end of April.

  He was jailed in 1999 for indecently assaulting nine girls aged 11 and 12 while a teacher at a Catholic primary school.
