Keynote Speakers:
Dr Keith Suter is a broadcaster, journalist, strategic planner, conference speaker and author. Keith has been active in speaking about globalisation and its impacts in the media and in his two recent publications: "The Global Agenda" and "In Defence of Globalisation". A criticism of the latter book is at: http://www.theglobalsite.ac.uk/review/105rix.htm. Jagjit Plahe works as a Policy and Campaigns officer in the Advocacy Network Department of World Vision Australia in Melbourne. Jagjit co-ordinates the Australian Council of Overseas Aid (ACFOA) Trade Advisory Committee. She has been in Australia for a year, and is from Kenya where she has been a human rights activist. |

Open Space
Open Space is a guided process that allows the agenda of the conference to be generated by the interests and talents of the participants themselves. On the Saturday afternoon of the conference you will have the opportunity to put forward ideas for conversations or activities you might like to have with others. It could be about a strategic issue you or your organisation are concerned about, a global issue that you think is important, a space for creativity to emerge through art, music or story, something you have researched yourself, etc. Those who wish to share this conversation or activity with you will join you for part of the afternoon. Think about it beforehand!! |
